Yes. 60 is the magic age in South Asia. I wish I knew more about it. Will do the reseach. Thanks for the comment Kathleen.

Very interesting, the Chinese idea of 60-year periods divided into 12 -year segments instead of decades. It has a Jupiter (jovial) feeling to it, like the Jupiter Returns. And in South Asia, birthdays at the ages of 12, 24,36, 48, and 60 are celebrated as auspicious. We were in Thailland when the king's 60th birthday was celebrated by floating candles in lotus down the river in Bangkok, lovely to watch the "lotus procession" under the stars. Peaceful, too, in a big city. An auspicious new cycle began for the kingdom, his majesty was seen as a Sage, according to several people we met, having reached the age of 60.
